Residents and guest are welcome to participate in a variety of recess activities or simply free play in the gymnasium. It’s first come first serve on the basketball courts. No personalized training sessions, team practices or league play during this time.

Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS)
Mondays

TOPS is a weight loss support group that doesn’t promote one specific diet plan. Instead, its purpose is to encourage members to seek the advice of their physicians to obtain a diet tailored specifically to their physical needs. TOPS discourages fad diets, weight loss pills and fast weight loss plans and instead encourages a balanced diet that includes a regular exercise regimen.

District Heights adults 18-54, the fee is $25 for 3 months. For non-District Heights adults 18-54, the fee is $50 for 3 months. For Seniors 55 years or older, the membership is free (City residents only).

Must be ages 13 to 18 and have a parent/guardian complete and sign registration form.
All participants must complete an equipment orientation with a recreation department staff before membership access can be approved.
Private Workout Space

9:15am -7:00pm
Schedule your next workout with us. Reservations go fast. Private workout times are for up to 50 minutes and can be used for one-on-one personal training sessions. Workout space contains a recumbent bike, row, dumbbells, and workout bench.
Financial Literacy for Youth:
Virtual classes
Piggy Bank Pioneers (ages 4-7)
Kids have fun learning financial concepts through interactive games and activities.
Mini Money Managers (ages 8-12)
Children learn basics about money, savings, needs vs wants.
Economically Empowered Teens (ages 13-17)
Youth learn basic ideas and strategies about how to use debt as an advantage for building wealth and more
Fall and Spring Fun Field Activities

Intramural style coed sports and fitness activities for kids ages 8 – 17.
