Commissioner Ward 1 – Anthony Tilghman

Anthony Tilghman is an award-winning photographer, educator, mentor, and published author with extensive experience across multiple industries, including photography, marketing, and branding.

He serves the community as the Constituent Liaison for District 25 Delegate Nick Charles and as the Executive Director of MakeSmartCool, a nonprofit focused on empowering youth, parents, teachers, and the broader community to become visionary education advocates.

He also leads the Education Roundtable, an organization dedicated to promoting accountability within the Prince George’s County school system.

Commissioner Tilghman is committed to serving the residents of District Heights and working collaboratively with local leaders to develop solutions that strengthen the community.
