Mission

The mission of the Recreation, Parks and Culture Department is to provide comprehensive recreational programs that meet the needs of a diverse and changing community.

We strive to play a vital and responsive role in enriching the quality of life for the citizens of District Heights by providing:

  • Opportunities that reflect the recreational interests of all District Heights residents
  • Recreation opportunities within the financial ability of all people
  • Programs for residents with varying degrees of skill and opportunities for progressive advancement
  • Opportunities for citizens to participate in recreational planning and assist in program implementation
