City Projects
District Heights has several projects in planning and construction stages. This page provides a central point for residents and stakeholders to access project information.
Fiesta Place Phase II
This project provides funding for the design-build contract for Phase II of the development of Fiesta Place Garden. The project adds site improvements, a gathering space, walking paths, and other features to the site, creating a new park within District Heights. Construction is anticipated to begin Summer 2025 and be completed before the end of the calendar year.

Kipling Parkway Trail
This project provides funding for a new park amenity—an approximately 0.6-mile paved shared-use path in the median of Kipling Parkway. Currently, residents walk, jog, and recreate in the undeveloped median between tree installations. The proposed shared-use path would enhance active recreation and include seating, plantings, and pollinator gardens.

Municipal Center Campus Outdoor Restrooms
The District Heights Municipal Center Campus includes a full-sized football field, two student-sized baseball diamonds, one full-sized outdoor basketball court, three playgrounds, and a full-service gymnasium. However, there are no restrooms available for outdoor facility users when the Municipal Center building is closed. This project will install outdoor restrooms to enhance and expand recreational use.
